Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Case #2205C-0063
On May 1, 2022 at approximately 0815 hours, Cathedral City Police responded to Eisenhower Medical Center regarding an assault victim at the location. The investigation revealed the victim was assaulted, taken from his home, and shot by the suspect. Preliminary investigation revealed the suspect and victim are acquaintances. The victim is at the hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The police are currently working on confirming the suspect's identity ad whereabouts. Continue reading→
Runaway Juvenile – Case 2204C-4848
On April 20, 2022, at about 3:34 p.m. CCPD officers responded to the Rio Vista Neighborhood in Cathedral City, regarding a missing juvenile. Officers contacted the parents of 12YO, Bailey Jean Prashaw who said Bailey left the residence on 04/19/22 around 7:00pm after an argument. Bailey’s parents attempted to contact her friends to locate her but were unsuccessful. After not returning home, a runaway juvenile report was filed. Continue reading→

On April 6, 2022, at about 8:06 PM, the Cathedral City Fire Department responded to a residence in the 28800 block of Avenida La Vista regarding a residential fire alarm. Other nearby residences also began calling regarding smoke seen coming from the residence. Continue reading→
Homicide Investigation – Case 2203C-6060 update
On March 24, 2022, at approximately 1644 hours, Daniel Morales Jr. 29 YO, resident of Cathedral City, was arrested in connection with the murder of Juan Gonzalez. Morales was arraigned on Monday, March 28, 2022, on charges of Murder, Street gang-violent felony, Discharge of firearm from a vehicle, Association w/criminal street gang, Discharge of firearm causing great bodily injury. He is currently being held on $2,000,000 bail at the Riverside County Southwest Detention Center. Continue reading→
