Synopsis of Incident

On March 8, 2021, at about 7:40 p.m. Cathedral City Police Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon that occurred in the area Verona Road & Avenida Quintana.

Upon receiving the initial call, officers responded to an address in the 28700 block of Avenida Condesa where one victim was located. Upon contacting the victim, they found him suffering from a gunshot wound. Information obtained from the victim, determined the shooting took place at the above mentioned intersection. The victim an 18YO male from Cathedral City, was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At about 7:55 p.m. Cathedral City Police Dispatch received a call from Desert Regional Medical Center saying a subject had arrived with a gunshot wound. The victim a 19 YO male from Palm Springs, was admitted into DRMC with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The information provided from both victims were two males and a female suspect (unknown description) confronted the victims in the area, which led to the shooting.

Cathedral City Police Detectives are following up on investigative leads and it does not appear this incident was random.
