Synopsis of Incident:
On December 10, 2023, at approximately 10:16 PM, Cathedral City Police officers responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle in the roadway of Date Palm Drive, south of Victoria Road. Officers arrived and found the male pedestrian deceased. The driver involved in the collision was contacted by officers and displayed no signs or symptoms of alcohol/drugs being present. The Cathedral City traffic unit responded and took over the investigation. During the investigation, it was determined the pedestrian was the at-fault party.
