Part I crimes include: Homicide, Rape, Robbery, Burglary, Aggravated Assaults, Auto Theft, Larceny, and Arson. On March 9, 2019, the Cathedral City Police Department Special Operation Section along with agents of the California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) arrested two suspects for furnishing alcoholic beverages to minors. On the afternoon of 3-3-19, Cathedral City Police Department was notified about a social-media post involving a possible threat / potential incident at the Cathedral City High School. Following the protocols outlined in the Riverside County School Threat Assessment and Response, officers immediately began to investigate the threat. With the assistance of PSUSD Security, officers identified the student at the center of the “threat”, and after a search of the family’s house no evidence was found to support the student made any credible threats toward the school. Medial Release / Adult arrested for selling alcohol to minors
The Cathedral City Police Department Special Operation Section along with agents from California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) have arrested an adult female for selling alcohol to a minor on February 27, 2019.
