Summary:

On August 24, 2021, at approx. 1834 hours, Cathedral City Police Department (CCPD) officers were dispatched to the area of Date Palm and Dinah Shore regarding a victim that was assaulted with a firearm.
Officers located the suspect vehicle and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The suspect vehicle came to a stop on Canyon Vista s/of Ramon Road and three juveniles ran from the vehicle. The driver was immediately detained and a short time later a second suspect was located. A perimeter was established and after a lengthy search the third suspect was not located.

The suspect driver is a 17 YO male juvenile, resident of Cathedral City, was arrested for felony evading, conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon and booked into Riverside County Juvenile Hall in Indio.

The second suspect is a 17 YO male juvenile, resident of Cathedral City, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, robbery and booked into Riverside County Juvenile Hall in Indio.

The victim suffered a laceration to the head from being pistol-whipped. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
