#3 SUSPECT INFORMATION:
Name: Genaro “Jaime” Lozoya
Age: 30 Yrs. old
City of Residence: Indio, CA

Summary:

On June 1, 2021, at approximately 0924 hours, Cathedral City Police Dispatch received a 911 call from an adult male who claimed to have been beaten, zip tied and held against his will for days. The victim was able to give officers information that led them to the 37000 block of Bankside Drive where evidence was located that corroborated his claim. Additional information was gathered identifying two suspects involved who were later arrested without incident.

Both suspects were booked into the Riverside County Jail and charged with PC 207(a) – Kidnapping; PC 206 – Torture; PC 236 – False Imprisonment; PC 245(a)(1) – Assault with Deadly Weapon; PC 422(a) – Terrorist Threats.

Update/arrest:

Genaro Jaime Lozoya 30 Yrs. old

While on scene, officers were given information of a third suspect that was seen by witnesses fleeing. After many hours of in-depth follow-up, Cathedral City Police Detectives were able to identify and locate the third suspect (Genaro Jaime Lozoya) and take him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Cathedral City Police Department and interviewed. As a result of that interview and the totality of the investigation, he was arrested and transported to the Riverside County Jail in Indio and charged with PC 207(a) – Kidnapping; PC 206 – Torture; PC 236 – False Imprisonment; PC 245(a)(1) – Assault with Deadly Weapon.
