Synopsis of Incident:
On October 12, 2023 at approximately 1240 hours, Cathedral City Police Officers were dispatched to the Palm Springs Cemetery. The Cathedral City Fire Department was dispatched to the location regarding two subjects suffering an apparent overdose. As Cathedral City Officers were responding, dispatchers were informed there was a possible third overdose victim.
Cathedral City Officers were first to arrive and learned there were four people suffering from overdoses. CCPD officers rendered aid by administering two doses of Narcan before Cathedral City Fire arrived and took over treatment. Cathedral City Police Officers remained on scene to assist fire personnel with crowd control. The Cathedral City Fire Department transported two people to local hospitals.
