Summary:
On June 21, 2020, at approx. 1235 hrs hours, Cathedral City Police Department (CCPD) officers were dispatched to the Circle K regarding the theft of a gray, 2008 Honda Ridgeline, bearing an Oregon license plate of 897KZT. The keys were left in the vehicle, as was a service animal (dog, black and white Border Collie, answers to “Bug”).

A Hispanic male adult with a shaved head was seen entering the Honda and driving away eastbound on East Palm Canyon towards Date Palm Dr. He is described as being 5’07” – 5’09” and 160 lbs, wearing a sleeveless dark-colored shirt and shorts. He has visible tattoos on the back of his arms, “I” on the left, “E” on the right. Surveillance video from the location captured the suspect when he entered the store prior to the theft (photos attached).

The Cathedral City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this suspect and locating this vehicle, and especially the missing service dog, whose owner is devastated.
