Synopsis of Incident:
On January 28, 2021, at approximately 1918 hours, Cathedral City Police Dispatch received 911 telephone calls reporting gunfire heard in the area of Shifting Sands Trail and 33rd Avenue. Police were dispatched and arrived at a residence in the 31000 block of Shifting Sands Trail. Police located an adult male gunshot victim that required medical care. Cathedral City Police Paramedics arrived to treat the gunshot victim and handled the medical transport. The scene was secured and at this time, the circumstances surrounding the shooting are being investigated by the Cathedral City Police Detectives.
