Synopsis of Incident
On January 27, 2021 at about 5:30a.m. Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, responded to Eisenhower Medical Center regarding a shooting victim who had been dropped off at the emergency room. During their initial investigation they determined a shooting had taken place in the 69800 block of Sunny Lane, Cathedral City.
At about 8:00a.m., Cathedral City Police Department officers and detectives began investigating the shooting at the original crime scene. Based upon the investigation, it appears the male victim, 37YO male from Indio, was confronted by two unknown suspects. The victim was shot, and the suspects fled the area in an unknown direction. The victim is listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.
There is limited information at this time and the Cathedral City Police Department is seeking anyone who may have any information regarding this assault.
