As Chief of Police, it is my honor and a pleasure to present the 2018 Annual Report. I am confident that you will find the information contained in this report to be a valuable resource relating to the operations of your Police Department. The year 2018 was one of great progress for our community, highlighted by yet another year where we saw a reduction Part I crime. Part I crimes include: Homicide, Rape, Robbery, Burglary, Aggravated Assaults, Auto Theft, Larceny, and Arson. The achievements by the men and women of our organization are an example of our steadfast commitment to our mission to provide the community with progressive and professional police services.

I attribute our success in 2018 to our continued efforts to collaboratively work with our community stakeholders. Our community can be proud of the outstanding work performed by the dedicated men and women of the Cathedral City Police Department, both sworn and professional staff. They have courageously and diligently demonstrated that teamwork, along with a “can do” attitude, can improve the quality of life for our residents, who we proudly serve. As we continue to build our community policing model using advanced technology and our ongoing data-driven deployment, I remain confident that in the years ahead our department, in partnership with the community, will continue to help keep Cathedral City a safe place to live, work, and visit.

In closing, it continues to be my privilege serving this community as your Chief, and I remain committed to ensuring that the professional men and women of this organization continue to provide the community with effective public safety strategies, community engagement and inclusion, and organizational excellence.
